A PhD as a recognised milestone in your career.
An academic degree is a reflection of your own scholarly achievement. Ascendius does not sell titles and is not a substitute for a university. We support you in finding the right academic path, understanding the formal requirements and preparing your project in a clear, transparent and compliant manner.
The university has the final say
Decisions regarding admission, examination and the award of the doctoral degree are made exclusively by your university.
Your own academic achievement
The doctoral thesis remains entirely your own. No outsourcing of core academic work.
Guidance, structure and support to help you help yourself
We provide you with methodology, structure and designated points of contact. You do the work.
A realistic timetable rather than ‘record time’
‘Part-time’ means: reliably structured in manageable chunks. We work with what your everyday life allows.
Academic integrity at the heart of everything.
The programme is structured in such a way that students’ own academic contributions, institutional autonomy and sound academic practice are visibly placed at the centre.
100% authorship and independent work
Every result relevant to your assessment must stem from your own academic work. Ascendius strictly rejects ghostwriting, text generation in someone else’s name and the outsourcing of academic work.
Faculty-specific requirements
The requirements of the doctoral regulations, the admission criteria and the relevant supervisory environment form the definitive framework. Not wishful thinking.
Methodological expertise
Optional mentoring focuses on research logic, methodology, structure, academic argumentation and presentation suitable for examination.
Good academic practice
Communication and mentoring are guided by the established principles of the awarding universities: DFG, swissuniversities, ÖAWI.
Seven paths to a degree, depending on your starting point.
The right fit between topic, faculty, doctoral regulations and supervision determines which path you take. Choose the one that best suits your situation.

Four phases to a doctoral degree.
A clear system from start to finish. The phases are modular. You only use the support that suits your current stage. Academic decisions, examinations and the conferral of the degree remain entirely with the university.
Preparation
We work with you to identify a viable topic, clarify your starting point and objectives, and develop an initial research plan for the university.
Application
We check the requirements of your chosen faculty, carefully prepare your application and assist with enrolment.
Research phase
Optional add-on. We provide support with methodology, data collection, logical consistency checks, formatting and scheduling. You remain in control of the overall direction.
Final examination
On request. Mock examination, question practice, final text check before submission, advice on publishing with a publisher.
All phases are conducted via video calls. Clear milestones, dedicated points of contact. The weekly workload depends on the phase, topic and your progress.
When structure guides your path.
“The clear, methodical structuring of my research project was particularly valuable. The guidance helped me to formulate my research proposal with greater academic precision, to better understand the university’s requirements and to prepare the next steps with academic rigour.”
We will publish further case studies once we have received approval from the respective clients. These will include the client’s role and field of study, but no personal details.
A PhD in the AI era.
Pursuing a PhD has never been more achievable, and a degree has rarely been more relevant. Both trends point in the same direction. This is the overarching rationale for deciding to do it now.
AI lowers the barrier
AI takes care of the legwork: research, structure, formalities. The effort required for your own academic work is now a fraction of what it was just three years ago. Realistically achievable alongside a full-time job.
Authority in the AI age
Visibility and credibility are determined by search engines and AI systems. Demonstrable authority derived from academic titles and publications counts for a lot there. E-E-A-T rather than mere opinion.
Recognised universities. Standardised procedures. Verifiable worldwide.
Ascendius works exclusively with state-recognised universities. All participating higher education institutions are listed in anabin, the official database of Kultusministerkonferenz, with the status ‘H+’: a higher education institution recognised in Germany. This status is public and verifiable by anyone.
H+ status in anabin
The awarding university is listed as a recognised higher education institution in the official database of Kultusministerkonferenz.
Standard procedure
Supervision, examination and the candidate’s own research output. No honorary doctorate, no title conferred without due process.
Your country decides on the classification
The same criteria apply everywhere: a recognised higher education institution and a standard procedure. The responsible bodies are the anabin and the ZAB in Germany, the YÖK in Turkey, the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia, the MOHESR in the UAE, and the relevant ENIC-NARIC office in the EU.
Clarify beforehand, not afterwards
During the free initial consultation, we will identify the relevant authority for your country and the requirements it checks. This is for guidance only; it does not constitute legal advice.
The questions we’re asked most often.
I’ve been working for many years. Can I even still learn how to conduct academic research?+
Yes. That is the main reason why senior managers turn to us. Academic writing is not some secret knowledge, but a skill that can be relearned step by step. Our mentoring programme meets you where you are today. We explain the formal rules of universities in a clear and practical way.
Does Ascendius AG write parts of my doctoral thesis?+
No, absolutely not. Having texts written by third parties (‘ghostwriting’) can lead to the loss of your degree and is strictly prohibited by us. Every word of your thesis must be written by you. We provide feedback, check the logic, help with the structure and prepare you for university examinations.
How much time do I need to set aside each week?+
The system is flexibly designed for those with demanding careers. As support is provided digitally, the work can be easily broken down into manageable chunks. Many clients set aside several hours a week, depending on the stage they are at. The actual time required depends on the topic, the university, the doctoral regulations and your progress.
Who will award me the doctoral title in the end?+
The academic degree, e.g. Dr. or PhD, is awarded exclusively by a university authorised to do so. Ascendius is a private service provider that guides you through to enrolment and can provide methodological support for your project. We do not sell degrees.
Is the doctoral title recognised and valid in my country?+
We work exclusively with state-recognised universities. All participating higher education institutions are listed in anabin, the official database of Kultusministerkonferenz, with the status ‘H+’, meaning they are classified as higher education institutions recognised in Germany. The degree is awarded through a standard doctoral programme involving supervision, examination and original research; the decision to award the degree rests solely with the university.
Whether and in what form you are permitted to use the degree is determined by the country in which you use it. The same criteria are assessed everywhere: a recognised higher education institution and a standard procedure. Only the competent authority has a different name: in Germany, the anabin and the ZAB; in Turkey, the YÖK; in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Education; in the UAE, the MOHESR; and within the EU, the respective ENIC-NARIC authority. During your initial consultation, we will tell you which authority is responsible for your case and what it checks. This information is provided for guidance only and does not constitute legal advice.
How long does the process realistically take?+
Depending on your prior experience, university and subject, the process generally takes 24–48 months whilst working. Some pathways are shorter if prior learning can be recognised. During the initial consultation, we’ll give you an honest assessment of what’s realistic in your case – no ‘record-breaking’ promises.
How does the collaboration work in practice?+
We discuss your project in flexible online sessions via video call. You’ll receive clear milestones and sets of tasks. You’ll know exactly what the next step is at all times.
When will I know the costs?+
Following the initial consultation, you’ll receive a transparent quote. Matchmaking, consultancy and optional mentoring are clearly separated from one another.
Free initial consultation, 15 minutes, with no obligation.
We’ll assess your current situation, the potential topic, the relevant academic discipline and the next steps towards official enrolment.
Please enter your name, email address and telephone number on the right. We’ll call you back and sort out everything else directly during the call.
